Compassionate Voice
About
I studied voice at the Royal College of Music, gaining my Postgraduate Diploma with distinction. Since graduating I have continued to perform both on the Opera stage and concert platform, as well
as developing my teaching practice. In 2024 I completed an MA in Voice Pedagogy (Distinction) with the Voice Study Centre, working with some of the world's leading voice experts, and specialising in Singing for Health. My research is focused on building a model of practice that is centred around compassion, blending singing and breathwork to promote creative ways to support mental and physical wellbeing.
Inspired by my own personal and professional interest in breathwork, I undertook Breath-Body-Mind teaching training with Dr Patricia Gerbarg and Dr Richard Brown. I am a Level 2 qualified BBM teacher and I am a keen advocate of the physical and mental health benefits Voluntarily Regulated Breathing Practices (VRBPs) can bring.

I am a qualified Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) Facilitator and have led the 8 week CMT online course. Based upon the highly respected work of Professor Paul Gilbert, this successful course has been developed by Dr Chris Irons and Dr Charlie Heriot-Maitland, Clinical Psychologists and Directors of Balanced Minds. I also work as a research & evaluation adviser for the Singing for Health Network.
I hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS check certificate and am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. Sessions take place in my home studio, which is located in Old Stratford, between Milton Keynes, Buckingham and Northampton.
